I was thinking about joining a Bible study in my area as a way of meeting new people. I live in what I thought was a heavily religious city, because unlike other cities I have lived in my current city has a church in almost every street corner, and in coffeeshops for example you hear people talk about church in every day conversations. I went on meetup.com looking for a Bible study I could be part of, thinking they would be easy to find since my city is so religious. But to my surprise there weren't any, not a single one. What the fuck? I live in the heart of the Bible Belt, and there is not a single Bible study being advertised.
