So I frequently go to this Chinese restaurant here and today I see the hostess/ owner lecturing her chubby son on how he couldn’t do basic math ie solve basic word problem involving basic arithmetic ie

We have 9 sheets of paper, we need 22 sheets of paper total, how many more sheets do we need?

There are 60mins in 1 hour, how many hours and minutes are in 70mins

The kid couldn’t do these problems and was crying from being yelled at and punished physically. I feel pity for the kid because I was once in his position.

However, it also seems that the younger generation isn’t that bright….
