I would suggest that morality is about bringing about group solidarity. That is why religion is about imposing morality to stop members of the group from killing, fighting each other and committing adultery with each other's wives lowering group solidarity and making them a less efficient fighting force against invading forces.

Religare is the Latin for religion meaning "to bind". What does religion bind? Society.  

Once you understand the purpose of these rules, there is no need to convert to Judaism, is there?
