Well, what are we labeling as modern culture? I don't think that we should label other identity groups, such as being a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, or someone with a particular interest/hobby, as being synonymous with modern culture, and anyone who is part of such a group shouldn't feel like they have to choose between that group and Mikraite. However, I usually think of modern culture as promiscuous sexual activity, drinking or doing drugs, tattoos, listening to bad modern pop music, and other obnoxious behaviors. I would consider it essential for our remembers to not identify with this sort of modern culture and not to associate to a great extent with people who represent this sort of modern culture.
