Why Business Sucks

If you sell to modern scum (members of modern culture), you must sell what modern scum want.  Modern scum hate everything that is good, everything that has value.  Don't believe me?  I couldn't get modern scum to use a free service that doubles their income.  Modern scum only want useless crap, nothing else.  How do you figure out what useless crap modern scum want?  You must either be in tune with modern scum or have connections to modern scum to give you ideas.  I have neither of these.

So what are the options for someone like me?  One option is to enter an existing market where there is proven demand.  You will have to compete with other businesses for market share, and try to win with better execution.  I am trying this.  The other option is to try to do business with people who aren't modern scum.  This means the Japanese or traditional Anabaptists.  To the best of my knowledge, the rest of humanity is modern scum.  I haven't tried this option, but I am working on trying this option now.

While modern scum hate all good things and only like bad things, they don't like all bad things.  Consider TikTok versus dog shit.  To me they are indistinguishable - both equally revolting.  So I have no way of comparing the business prospects of TikTok versus selling dog shit online.  So as I discussed in my previous post, I cannot evaluate business ideas aimed at modern scum.

But what about competing in an existing market aimed at modern scum?  Actually the same problem still applies.  In this case you have to choose which features to implement.  Modern scum will hate all good features, but I have no way of identifying which bad features they will like.  So I currently believe that the only promising option is to try to do business with people who aren't modern scum, meaning Japanese or traditional Anabaptists.  I will discuss this option in more depth in another post.
