Western Culture - obituary

Western culture was born in Florence around 1400 and died in America in 2000.  Western culture lived a long and productive life.  Western culture is survived by Islam and Anabaptism.

The Medicis did finance the birth Western culture.  Cultural advancement costs money and often this happens when money is acquired outside of the center of political power since established power just wants to keep things as they are while outsiders want to surpass the current standard.
