So basically raise import taxes and lower corporate and income taxes.  Since America produces nothing of value, raising import taxes is basically a sales tax.  So this is incredibly regressive, lowering taxes on the rich and raising taxes for everyone else.

I am generally not interested in politics, but this is practical and will make life in America much worse.  Yet another reason to leave America.

Increased import taxes might encourage things to be made in America, but since those skills have been so unwanted for so long, you would have to question whether that is even possible.
