But I wanted something stronger so on fschmidt's recommendation I bought this coffee maker for making real coffee. The fundamental design is simple and robust. There are only 3 parts and they don't move. No electricity is involved. Nor are any replacement filters needed. You just use a stove. It makes exactly 1 cup of coffee also so it's not wasteful. I don't know if this is the best brand but someone can challenge this Kosher review in the future if they find a stove top brand.
