Hardware is getting faster via Moore’s Law
Yet, software is getting slower and more bloated than ever before, so complicated that not ever the chief designer know how they work
Should there be a new law that predicts the complexity and bloated nature of modern software increase so much that it overtakes hardware advancement of Moore’s law? Maybe we should call that the Schmidt’s Law in honor of Fschmidt. Or Blows Law in honor of Jonathan Blow
Will it come to a point that advanced hardware can no longer run new software?
