One thing I have noticed young American women do as I walk past by them down the street or in a hallway, is that as I walk past them they turn their heads away from me in disgust. Has anyone else encountered this? If I am walking towards them on their left, they look to the right. I don't look directly at them or make creepy eye contact with them. They turn their heads away simply because they are offended by the presence of my face. When I was in Colombia, I noticed women were much more inclined to look straight ahead, neither looking away from me, nor necessarily looking directly at me. It was like I was neutral, and they weren't actively grossed out by me.
Has anyone here been on the receiving end of the head turn of disgust as they walk past women down the street or in the hallway?
