By "peoples", I mean groups of people. English has no good word for "a people" but it is "am" in Hebrew and "volk" in German. How should a people be judged?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A good tree doesn’t produce bad fruit; on the other hand, a bad tree doesn’t produce good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thornbushes, or grapes picked from a bramble bush. A good man produces good out of the good storeroom of his heart. An evil man produces evil out of the evil storeroom, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jesus in Luke 6:43-45 Jesus uses the analogy of a tree to individuals here, and to prophets in Matthew 7:15–20. But I will apply this reasoning to peoples. What Jesus is doing here is promoting a holistic results-oriented view. He is saying not to try to identify causes of badness and not to fixate in details, but rather judge by the overall result. Whatever produces good overall is good, and whatever produces bad overall is bad. No need for further analysis. Which peoples produce good today - good things and a good society? I only know of two groups that do - traditional Anabaptists and the Japanese. You can observe their societies by visiting a conservative Mennonite church or visiting Japan. Japanese products are known for their quality. Anabaptist products are less well known, but they make some things like furniture which are of good quality. And Mennonites are expanding into manufacturing in north Mexico, with good results. Which groups produced good in the past? This is a harder question since one has to judge both the quality of past output and judge whether the current group is really the same group as the past productive group. Where this is the case, one can compare the group to a good tree that is sick and may be able to be cured. I can think of two such groups: Catholics and Muslims. There may be others. The Catholics produced the Renaissance and the Counter-Reformation (which contributed to the Enlightenment). The Muslims produced the Islamic Golden Age. Both groups produce nothing of value today. Both groups have an attempt at reformation that is too fundamentalist and misses core principles - Catholics have Traditionalist Catholicism, and Muslims have Salafism. I see little difference between Catholics and Muslims today, both need an enlightened reformation before they can become good again. How can all this be practically applied to your life? If you are Japanese or Anabaptist, you are all set. Just help guide your group. If you are Protestant, then become Anabaptist. Members of other groups have a more serious problem because you need to form good groups. How can this be done? What is the biggest obstacle to forming good groups today? In my opinion, the biggest obstacle is stupidity. We live in an idiocracy where people are just too stupid to recognize what is good. To address this problem, I came up with the Arkian idea. The current title of this is "A Eugenic Intentional Ethnicity", but replace that with "Eugenic Intentional Ethnicities". The Arkian idea provides a broad template for producing good ethnicities/peoples using Jesus's holistic approach of judging by results. So now I can give practical advice. If you are Catholic or Muslim or belong to some other group that was good, then become Arkian and promote the Arkian idea within your group to form an intelligent subgroup that should eventually be capable of promoting an enlightened reformation of your religion. So one would have Arkian Catholics, Arkian Muslims, etc. If you do not belong to a group that was good, then your group should be "Arkian Others". In this case, become Arkian and associate another Arkian group or a good group. Different Arkian groups should naturally be allies and should be able to work together on things like business and other practical areas. The advice I am giving here is entirely practical, the only obstacle is you. It does not require founding a new church/mosque which may be challenging. It does not require critical mass. It just requires you to take action. |
