In other countries I have been to (Colombia, Hungary, Philippines), I observed instances of men and women socializing like they were "just friends", and women seemed comfortable sitting and standing next to random men.
In America however, I only ever see women with men if they are a romantic couple, and women seem obsessively protective of their personal space around other men.
It's funny how despite being such a degenerate country, America practices gender segregation like you would expect in an Islamic society.
